The weekend after Labor Day is a special time in Lawrence County.  The streets of downtown Louisa are transformed into a flurry of festivities that are filled with tradition. This fantastic street festival is Septemberfest. During your visit, make sure you partake in the scrumptious festival food from over one hundred street food vendors. Have fun on a variety of carnival rides. Shop the wares of the craft show and sales tent located on East Perry Street. On Saturday morning, come down to Madison Street for the hour-long Septemberfest parade that celebrates all things Lawrence County. In the evenings, bring a chair to sit down and enjoy a wide variety of music and entertainment from two venues. Don’t forget to look out for the car show, pageant, and fishing tournament. All these events and more make Septemberfest the “Best Little Festival in Kentucky!”
